I have been searching for a long time for someone who can perform Vintage Music at competitive prices. Now, my search is over, as I have discovered Andy Collier of www.musicalandy.com
The first time I heard Andy Collier perform was on March 28th 2009 at the village hall in Stoke Bruerne. The World War II programme covered songs made popular by artists as diverse as Noel Coward, Vera Lynn, George Formby and Flanagan And Allen. There were lively singalong numbers, slow sentimental tunes, and comedy offerings all played expertly and sung coherently and well.
Who is there out there who is performing this vintage music at a cost effective price? After all, booking a big band is not going to be cheap! What if you could hire one man and his keyboard, and have enough variety to keep you more than amused for a full two hour event?
Andy Collier is not limited to just World War II, either. When I first met him, he had five different programmes. Now, he’s got nine! You could get nine different top-quality gigs in a year, just by booking one man!
Here is what you’ve got to choose from -
1. Roll Out The Barrel (WWII songs)
2. Pack Up Your Troubles (WWI songs)
3. White Christmas (Christmas songs/carols)
4. Boatman’s Life (Canal/Waterway songs)
5. London’s Pride (Noel Coward songs)
6. Thank You For The Music (Seventies songs)
7. Some Enchanted Evening (Show songs)
8. An Island Of Dreams (Sixties songs)
9. Love’s Old Sweet Song (Some good old songs)
